Yes, I cheated. I put on Baby Einstein. It worked great.
Maggie would look at the TV, and then at Riley, back and forth. It was so cute. Maggie was so excited when she woke up from a nap and saw Riley there for the first time. He is almost 4 months old, so he is not able to sit yet, but Maggie can't wait.

I didn't even realize how well Riley's blanket matches our living room, maybe we'll have to keep it. :)
