HAPPY 18 MONTHS!

Stats: weight: 22lbs, height: 30 in.
Only Six teeth: 4 top, 2 bottom

For our detailed record and memory...

Words:
airplane (air-train) apple, banana (nana), ball, bee, birdie (bidee), block (gock), blanky (dee-dee),
bug (uck), butt, car, cheese (chee), cookie, dada, doggy, down, drink (dee-dee), duck (guck), egg, Elmo, Ernie (Nernie), eyes, flower (wower), grandpa (bapa), hat (dat), kitty, knee, mama, moon, no, nose, oops, open (ah-pu), potty (pah-ee), poop, sheep (beep), sit (dat), shoe (doo) sleep (beep), snow (no), toe, train, tree, truck (guck), uh-oh, up.

Phrases:
[Where did mama go?] ="Ah mom-Ba go?" (throws her arms up)
She will substitute dada, doggy, bapa (grandpa), etc.

[There it is] = "Der shiz" (when she finds him/her/it)

We don't know where this phrase came from, but throughout the day, wherever we are, she loves to say:

[Ernie, where are you] = "Nernie, ah youuuu?" (yelling)

"Cookie me?" (repeated at increasing decibels until one is delivered)

"Shoe on?"

When asked 'what does the turkey say?' "gobbu gobbu gobbu"

[I love you] = "I lol you lol you"

If we say "Maggie do you want to ____?" (go see grandma, play outside, go in the car, etc) she will always respond with great excitement, even if she has no clue what we are about to do. She just says:
[Oh boy!] = "Oh buyyy!!" or sometimes "Oh Bun!!"

and if you show her something, she says:
"Oh Woooow!"

Maggie does not have a lot of patience, so apparently as she fussed, I would say "here it comes, or it's coming." Now when she is waiting for something (her milk in the microwave, or the DVD to start) she says "Here it come!" as she demonstrates her excitement and patience. We love this one. She yells it from her crib in the morning when she hears us open/close the microwave to warm her milk in a sippy-cup.

Things she loves to do:
1. Watch Elmo
2. Practice climbing up stairs
3. Scribble on paper, and anywhere else
4. Swing
5. Play hide-and-seek
6. Read books
7. Empty the entire laundry basket
8. Dance

Things she hates:
1. Her car seat
2. Asparagus
3. Wind-up toys
4. Water in her eyes
5. Daddy leaving
6. People in costumes
7. Anyone touching her toes
8. Her face/nose wiped

Those are some Maggie moments at 18 months. She is growing and changing so much each day. She is a joy to be around - full of laughs and smiles and so enthralled with the world around her. We love you miss Maggie Mags!

great post! You will love having those stats in a few years. I can't believe how many words she says. That's totally awesome.
Glad she only has 6 teeth and doesn't weigh very much, just like Emily!
